Winners Unveiled for the 2024 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) Competition
The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) has announced the winners of its 2024 edition, honoring projects that are redefining the built environment across various disciplines. This year's awards highlight exceptional design talent from around the globe, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
Residential Category Winners
The Ravine, designed by DNA Paris, was recognized in the Residential Interior category. The winners in this category also include Nobu by Cuaik CDS from Mexico, which was named Interior Design of the Year. Another notable winner is the Canvas House.
In addition, the MOON HOUSE by DNA Paris secured a double win, taking home awards in Landscape Design, Private Garden and the MasterPrize winner in the Residential category.
Other Category Winners
The Architectural Design of the Year award was given to the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center by Rockwell Group (USA). The Lakeside Teahouse was honored in the Hospitality Architecture category.
In the Educational Buildings category, UCL East Marshgate received the award, while the New Museum of Ethnography, Budapest was honored in the Cultural Architecture category.
Special Awards
Omar Gandhi Architects from Canada was named Interior Design Firm of the Year. James Corner was recognized as Landscape Firm of the Year.
For the first time in AMP's history, the Social Impact Project of the Year award was introduced. This year's recipient is 54 Social Housing in Inca, Mallorca, Balearic Islands by Fortuny-Alventosa, Morell Arquitectes (F-AM Arquitectes) (Spain).
Photography Awards
Costas Spathis, a Greek architect and photographer, was recognized for his work in Architecture Photography. Albrecht Voss from Germany won the Exterior Architecture Photographer of the Year award, and Franco Casaccia from Argentina took home the Interior Architecture Photographer of the Year award.
Upcoming Celebration
The 2024 AMP winners will be celebrated at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao on November 18, 2024. The AMP team and jury panel congratulate all winners and express appreciation to all participants.
