Women Hike Trollweiher Loop to Honor St. Francis' Sun Song Jubilee

A group of women recently embarked on a spiritual journey, hiking the Trollweiher loop to honour Pope Francis. The event, organized by Diocesan Referent Sabine Feldmann of Augsburg's Diocesan Women's Pastoral Care, was held to commemorate the jubilee '800 years of the Sun Song'.

The hike, held on a Sunday, allowed participants to connect with nature and reflect on the teachings of Pope Francis. The Canticle of the Sun, a hymn of praise to God and all creation, was written by Pope Francis 800 years ago. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate this significant anniversary.

The Trollweiher loop, a scenic trail in the Bavarian Alps, offered a peaceful setting for the spiritual retreat. The women, guided by Sabine Feldmann, traced the spirit of Pope Francis, finding inspiration in the beauty of the surroundings.

The hike was a meaningful way to celebrate the jubilee '800 years of the Sun Song'. The event allowed participants to connect with Pope Francis' spirit and appreciate the beauty of creation, echoing the themes of the Canticle of the Sun.
